Simple Paper Collage
Then cut out pieces of paper from construction sheets. I was able to collect only few colors like blue and green from magazines I had. Place them in separate cups, so that it will be easy for the kids to use.
Initially LO applied glue on to the butterfly, and started to stick the blue color.
Then LO did the dark blue pieces. In between I guided him, so that the shape of the butterfly wing is retained!
Finally we lost all patience, so decided to color the body of butterfly with yellow marker!😆
Its All Done!!😁
I was thinking to make a paper collage with Little One for ages! And this week the right time clicked and we started working on it. Let's hop into the activity.
Supplies:
- White paper
- Black Marker Pen
- Color Papers or Construction Paper (This time I have used paper pieces from Magazines)
- Scissors
- Glue Stick
How do we make it:
Draw a picture of your choice on the white paper with the black maker pen. I drew a butterfly, to make the first experience more colorful. Never mind if the picture doesn't look great, our kids will transform it into a wonderful masterpiece!
Then cut out pieces of paper from construction sheets. I was able to collect only few colors like blue and green from magazines I had. Place them in separate cups, so that it will be easy for the kids to use.
Then LO did the dark blue pieces. In between I guided him, so that the shape of the butterfly wing is retained!
This activity demands lot of patience, nevertheless LO got completely involved.
A quick touch up!Finally we lost all patience, so decided to color the body of butterfly with yellow marker!😆
Its All Done!!😁
For a start try out making collage with simple pictures which demands single color like duck, apple, etc. I will keep posted with different ideas in collage making which can be done easily with available supplies at home.
Happy Parenting!
It's commendable effort Sindhu to make him sit and work on this. I would love to know how you made Aarush sit and focus on art work. It will be very helpful. Akilan loves books and sits and reasa them. But if it's painting he would run away in less than a minute
ReplyDeleteThanks for stopping by Pari..Only after his third birthday we started to do this kinda of art work. Truly speaking he lost his patience in the middle of making this collage, so I just tried this trick! A little word of appreciation and encouragement, worked out on that day... 'it looks amazing, its gonna turn out into a beautiful butterfly!'... and somehow he managed to complete it!
