Toddler Play with Paper Cups

When you run out of all activity based ideas or if you want to do a no-setup play for your toddler, the Paper Cups come handy! I'm sure this picture would bring you some nostalgic memories! We all would have done these kinda building-tower-play with cups and cards. But when we think to engage our super cranky toddler, our mind goes empty and we could only draw a blank! In that kinda situation try out this simple easy no-setup play for your toddler. I'm sure this would keep them occupied for hours.

Supplies:
Paper Cups

When I gave LO these cups he tried making a tower and stacking them within each other. And I showed him how to build them on top of each other by making bridges between them, and he got the hold.

Soon he built a tower, not so big though.

I wanted him to understand how light-weight the cups are, and so I asked him to blow them down. He got it so funny and repeated the whole play again and again like building and blowing...

Again assembling them to build..!

Building...

Blowing...!

Try this no-setup activity and share your comments in the box below..

No Bake Cake !!!

Christmas is now and we planned to make a no bake cake for the festive. It was LO's idea to make the cake collage!πŸ˜‰ And with no second thought we started the preparatory work.

Supplies :
  • Construction Paper (we used brown, yellow, red)
  • White Glue or Glue stick
  • Scissors, Pencil

Simple to make, but at the end we get a delicious and yummy no bake cake!!
While I was busy doing the paper work for the cake, LO was busy practicing his scissoring skills!

I made three layers for the cream with the yellow paper, and three candles with red and yellow paper.

LO arranged the cream layers on the base with the glue.

And the candles..

And here you go.. the cake is ready to be tasted...

Happy Christmas πŸŽ„πŸŽ…πŸŽˆ

Play around with Crayons!

LO often says, 'Crayons are not always meant for coloring!'😲.... I know very well that LO is finding an excuse to play around with them(crayons) and to get out from my rebuke for breaking them!.. 😐 LO loves to play with crayons, use it in all ways rather than coloring! This time got the camera handy and clicked the pictures as he was having fun with the crayons. I just want to share the pictures, and don't wanna list this as activity related post (!)

All you need is some crayons and a frisky mind!πŸ˜‰

Create it with Play Dough and Googly eyes

Time for some creative play along with strengthening those fine motor skills. Pairing the Googly eyes πŸ‘€with the Play Dough ends up in amazingly imaginative characters. LO was very confident that those green, red and blue play dough characters what he made was the replica of PJ Masks, the Gekko, Owlette and the Catboy!!😁😁 Simple to setup and I'm sure this would be a fun boredom buster!
And about the 'Busy Hands', this might be the last post in this series, and hopefully I will keep posting more activities related to fine motor skills, then and there as we explore it!

Play Dough is by far one of my favorite activities because, kids can use their hands in several ways to build their fine motor activity. A combination of grasping and squishing helps the muscle tone in their hands, and great way to train the brain and the body work together.

Bring out the Play Dough and Googly Eyes, sit back and watch the creative play of your little creators!😊 My LO did a finishing touch with the Alphabets and Googly eyes along with the color sorting.. a must watch!!πŸ˜‰

The Owlette..!

The Catboy...!

The PJ masks in a row.. along with the Villains..😁

The grasping and squishing....

In between LO brought in Alphabets into the play...

He was trying to form some words, 'sun', 'hat'....

And ended up in alphabet color sorting!...

Finally, decorated the Alphabets with the Googly eyes....!πŸ‘€
