Yeah!! This page is 'AboutUs' and not 'AboutMe'! First I want to "Thank you!!" for stopping by! SindhusCocoon is jointly built by Me and my LO and we started building this in 2017. We both make a great companionship and contribute to this page, equally!! My Little One (LO) is Aarush😍 and I'm Sindhumathi... 😊😊

What made me to start blogging?

I'm a software engineer turned SAHM (Stay-at-home-mom). LO was blessed to us on May 2014. After that, as for every mother, the world had completely changed for me. We spent his early childhood in USA, for about 3-4 years and that time he was my World and vice-versa. I always look up for new creative ways to engage LO. I wanted to make his childhood days colorful and unforgettable. So I started to do DIY activities with him, and wanted to save those precious moments in a space, which led me to start Sindhu's Cocoon. Started to update the blog (not on regular basis though!!!!) whenever we did an activity. After returning to India in June 2018, I couldn't update the blog on regular basis due to personal commitments. 

Started SindhusCocoon with the free blogging platform, blogspot.com. Didn't do much research on what's the best platform. Decided on blogspot and immediately I started to write my first post. My first few  posts were completely out of topic!! Those were on general topics!! That time I had different ideas. I wanted to publish posts both on kids activities and general topics of my interests. Then I stopped my write-ups on general topics because I couldn't think of a satisfactory one which would satisfy all sector of people.

What exactly I do?

Simple!.. Plan an activity.. Do the setup.. Click pictures.. Edit it and post along with a writeup! I capture pictures using my Nikon DSLR camera at times with Sony Power shot too. The frequency of the update is one post per week, if everything falls in place!! 

About SindhusCocoon...

The main moto of the launch of the blog is to support new mommies to help out with activity ideas  for their young ones. Activities that are easy to setup, with cheap materials, for all ages.The posts are flooded with colorful pics, so as self explanatory, easy to do with your kids...I'm sure these kinda activities would fritter away kid's time in a constructive way and keep your kids away from gadgets.We have two tabs, Interlood and Kids World in our blog.. Quick Gallery Links is under work!!

The Journey so far...

Now (in 2020) its amazing to see we have more than 100 posts in our blog!!! That's an amazing journey I would say...! Initially I planned activities for him with the toys we had. Those were based on fine motor activities, sensory activities, introducing alphabets, so on. As he grew up the ideas emerged from him!! I need not plan or think much about the hands-on! And now we have also few STEM based posts here! Can't believe he is growing fast. I'm browsing for new innovative ideas to keep him engaged, especially to get rid of gadgets!
